Is money earned from supervising unnecessary surgeries considered ill-gotten wealth that must be disposed of?

A doctor is not permitted to perform a surgery that a patient does not need, as this constitutes an assault on the patient's body, an unlawful seizure of their money, causing distress to them and their family, and potentially leading to complications. Furthermore, it involves the doctor in falsehood and betrayal of trust. You are not permitted to assist or supervise such operations; otherwise, you would be a partner in sin. The money received from supervising these operations is unlawful and must be returned to the patient if possible; otherwise, it should be given in charity on their behalf, along with repentance to Allah. In the future, you must cease supervising these operations, denounce them, and disavow yourself from them, even if it leads to leaving your job at the hospital.
