Is supervisory work in Islamic forums considered a call to Allah, or is reading the Qur'an and performing acts of obedience better than it?

Inviting people to Allah is one of the noblest good deeds, and its means are varied, such as direct speech and writing. Among these is overseeing beneficial forums and guiding their members. Those in charge of them will receive a great reward, but caution must be exercised so that it does not distract from other, more important responsibilities, such as the rights of the spouse and children, seeking knowledge, and maintaining daily devotions (awrad). Jurisprudence (fiqh) is the knowledge of priorities and prioritizing what is most important. A Muslim should have a share in benefiting himself and benefiting others, so that one right does not distract him from another. Ibn al-Qayyim explained that the best worship is that which coincides with its proper time and the soul's need for it, and that working to please the Lord at all times is the best of worships. Every time has its appropriate worship, and this includes overseeing the forum. In summary: overseeing a forum is an invitation to Allah and should be organized within the times of other acts of worship and responsibilities to give everyone their due right.
