What is the criterion for determining what a person likes and dislikes in a dream, according to the Hadith: “The [good] dream is from Allah, and the [bad] dream is from Satan”? And does the righteousness of the righteous mean good, and the corruption of the corrupt mean good? And what should one do who sees an unknown dream? And does the Hadith apply only to Muslims? And is it permissible to tell anyone about a dream?

The soundness of a vision is determined by its appearance, its interpretation, or its validity. It is not considered sound unless it conforms to Islamic law. What a wicked person or one with little intellect sees that is forbidden by شرع (Islamic law) is not a sound vision. If someone sees something whose good and evil they do not understand, it is better to conceal it and not speak of it, because silence is preferable to unverified speech that does not bring good, and to avoid disliked interpretations. It is permissible for everyone to speak about visions, provided they adhere to Islamic guidelines. As for disbelievers, the primary goal is to invite them to monotheism, and they are not to be prevented from what is permissible for Muslims except with specific evidence.
