Is one who is afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder rewarded, and what is the solution to get rid of it?

A Muslim, when afflicted with any tribulation, and endures it patiently, seeking reward from Allah, and deals with it according to what Allah has legislated, will surely receive their full reward. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." And His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a calamity, and whoever endures it patiently, seeking reward from Allah, will receive the reward of those who are patient in affliction. And whoever takes the legitimate means for treatment has done well and correctly. And whoever is unable [to be cured] but remains patient and seeks reward from Allah has also done well and correctly. In both cases, there is good.
