Is it permissible to engage in forging passports with the consent of clients?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Forgery is forbidden unless there is a compelling necessity or a need that is equivalent to it. So, whoever has a necessity is permitted to forge, and the one who forges for him does not sin. However, for a person's work to be forging passports and the like, this is a forbidden act, because forgery is a false testimony, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, considered it one of the destructive major sins. It is also deception, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever deceives is not of us." Therefore, a Muslim must fear Allah and keep away from unlawful earnings.
