What about agricultural land ownership in the Islamic economy?

The Islamic Sharia has established rules and regulations for private and public ownership, and has defined the legitimate means of acquisition such as inheritance, purchase, gift, and reclamation of barren land (ihya' al-mawat). The Sharia has not set an upper limit for individual ownership, but it has obligated owners to fulfill rights pertaining to their possessions, the most important of which is zakat.
