Is it permissible to interpret dreams with an innovator (mubtadi‘) who is skilled in interpretation and does not introduce innovations or polytheistic elements, knowing that the dreamer is aware of their deceptions and will not be misled by them?

The science of interpreting visions is a noble science, akin to issuing fatwas. Only someone with knowledge and expertise should undertake it. The more righteous and pious the dreamer and the interpreter, the truer the vision and the more accurate the interpretation, unlike soothsayers and astrologers who rely on devils. Therefore, only a just person of sound religious practice should be consulted regarding visions.
