What is the ruling on an unmarried woman visiting a person who claims to treat sorcery with permissible substances, especially given that this person acquired the ability to diagnose and treat after experiencing a shock, and is it permissible for a Muslim man or woman to visit such a person?

Allah may inspire some of His servants with knowledge of unseen matters. This is called ilhām (inspiration) or taḥdīth (being spoken to/inspired), and it occurred in previous nations and still occurs in this nation. It is mentioned in a ḥadīth that 'Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb was a muḥaddath. This knowledge of unseen matters may also be called kashf (unveiling). Its acceptance depends on the uprightness of the person who experiences it and the soundness of their belief, because this knowledge can be attained by both the righteous and the wicked. Therefore, one should consider the young man's condition: if his belief is sound and his conduct is upright, there is no impediment to benefiting from his treatment and ruqyah (definition); otherwise, it is not permissible to seek his help.
