Was my decision not to approve my daughter's marriage unless it was a direct wedding after the marriage contract, or her remaining in Turkey to complete her studies in London, wrong, knowing that she wishes for the contract so that her relationship with the young man would be permissible (halal) when they meet and go out together?

A woman's marriage is the responsibility of her male guardians (her asaba), such as her father, brothers, and paternal uncles. Women have no role in guardianship. However, it is recommended to consult the mother regarding her daughter's marriage, as this gladdens her heart and shows compassion for her daughter, as mentioned by Ibn Qudamah in Al-Mughni. It appears that preventing a daughter from marrying in order to complete her studies and preserve herself is incorrect.
