How is inheritance divided if the heirs are: one son, two grandsons (sons of a son), one daughter, and one wife?

If the deceased leaves no heirs other than a wife, a son, a daughter, and two grandsons (sons of a son), then the wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, as Allah the Almighty says: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave." The remainder goes to the son and daughter by way of ta’sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah the Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The two grandsons receive nothing because they are completely excluded by the son.

The estate is divided into twenty-four shares: the wife receives three shares, the son fourteen shares, and the daughter seven shares.
