What is the benefit of mentioning the name of Azar, Abraham's father, in the Quran, while the names of the mothers of other prophets, such as Moses' mother, are not mentioned, even though scholars say that everything that has benefit is mentioned in the Book of Allah?

The Quran usually does not bother to mention the names of individuals because the purpose is the lesson from the story, not the knowledge of names which offers no benefit. However, the Quran mentioned Maryam (Mary) by name to clarify great matters related to her and her son, Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, and to exonerate her from the false claims of the Jews, and to refute the assertions of the Christians. The Quran also mentioned Azar, the father of Ibrahim (Abraham), by name; perhaps due to his fame among the Arabs, or due to the numerous interactions between him and Ibrahim, which makes one eager to know the name of this defiant father. One must show reverence to Allah; for all His actions have great wisdom, whether we know it or not, for "He is not questioned concerning what He does, but they will be questioned."
