Is the Qur’an valid for the times and peoples that preceded the era of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him?

There is no difference between Islam and the Qur’an; for the Qur’an is the clarifier and caller to Islam, which came with two meanings: a general Islam, which is the monotheism of God and obedience to Him according to the law of each prophet in his time, and a specific Islam, which is the monotheism of God and obedience to Him according to the law of the Qur’an that was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. This is the accepted Islam after the revelation of the Qur’an and the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad for all people. The religion of the prophets is one, but their laws change according to time and circumstance, and the difference in laws is a trial from God. The rectification and guidance of people after the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and the revelation of the Qur’an, comes through following the Qur’an and Islam.
