What is the ruling on performing Friday Prayer before its prescribed time to accommodate for rest and lunch breaks, and is it permissible to pray 30 minutes before the Adhan, or must it be prayed at noon after its time has begun?

Scholars have differed regarding the earliest time for Friday prayer (Jumu'ah). Imam Ahmad's madhhab permits performing it before Zawal (midday/declining of the sun). In fact, the relied-upon position in the Hanbali madhhab is that its time begins from the time of Eid prayer. They substantiated this with the actions of the Companions, such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ibn Mas'ud, Jabir, and Mu'awiyah, who prayed Jumu'ah before Zawal, and no one objected to them.

It is permissible to adopt this opinion out of necessity, as it is a well-regarded opinion based on strong evidence, and it was practiced by many of the Salaf (pious predecessors). However, it is preferable and more cautious to establish it after the sun's Zawal to avoid disagreement. If that is not possible and there is no alternative but to establish it before Zawal, there is no harm, and there is no need to repeat it as Dhuhr prayer.
