What is the ruling on additional insurance for car windshields or any additional car insurance, and is it permissible to repair damage at the expense of the insurance company if the contract was made out of ignorance or forgetfulness?

Commercial insurance is forbidden because it is gambling, and it is not permissible to deal with it in primary or additional insurance. Whoever is compelled to it by force should only take what they have paid, and donate any excess if they are forced to take it. A Muslim must not do anything until they know Allah's ruling concerning it.
