Is the money that was deposited in the betting application and then withdrawn after playing due to not receiving the bonus considered unlawful money (haram), and what should be done with it if it is?

It is forbidden to participate in gambling, even if the intention is to donate the excess money to the poor and the sick, because gambling is prohibited. A forbidden act is not permissible for such intentions. This is similar to the prohibition of alcohol: it is not permissible to convert it into vinegar or sell it; rather, it must be poured out. Gambling is forbidden because it involves consuming people's wealth unjustly, and it is one of the major sins.

One must repent from participating in gambling. As for the money earned from gambling, it is illicit and forbidden wealth (mal suḥt), and one must dispose of it by giving it to the poor and needy or spending it on public welfare, except in two cases: First, if you were ignorant of the prohibition of gambling when you earned the money, then you may keep it. Second, if you are in need of the money, then you may take only what suffices your need.
