Are the noble Prophetic Hadiths valid for every time and place?

The Prophetic Sunnah is the second source of legislation, and acting upon it is obligatory, just like the Qur’an. It is a revelation from Allah, in accordance with His saying: "Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only a Revelation revealed." Imam Al-Shafi'i and others confirmed that the Sunnah is a revelation sent down to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and that it is the "wisdom" mentioned in His saying: "And Allah has sent down to you the Book and Wisdom."

As for what was issued by the Prophet (peace be upon him) concerning worldly matters based on opinion and human experience, and not as legislation, it is not obligatory to act upon it, such as the incident of pollinating date palms, where he said: "You are more knowledgeable in the affairs of your worldly matters." This does not diminish his status (peace be upon him), but rather indicates his profound concern for matters of the Hereafter.
