Is it permissible to transfer an amount from one's salary to the Zakat Committee through a Riba-based bank, for the purpose of charity?

It is impermissible to open an account in an interest-based bank except out of dire necessity. It is permissible to pay Zakat through banks or institutions if this does not result in delaying it beyond its due time, provided that the transferred amount is not less than the obligatory Zakat, or with the intention of expediting Zakat before its due time. However, if the transferred amount is less than the obligatory Zakat and one intends to pay the remainder later, then it is impermissible, due to the delay in giving out Zakat that this entails.
