What is the ruling on a woman going out for recreation in places not free of transgressions, such as going to the beach or gyms where there is music, and is she sinful if she goes to them while trying to avoid the transgressions?

It is recommended to avoid places of amusement and musical instruments, even when wearing headphones, because jurists hold the view that it is not permissible to listen to forbidden things, and that one must refrain from hearing them. They base this on the action of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) when he heard a wind instrument. As for a poor psychological state, it can be treated by visiting family and sitting with righteous women, and by seeking suitable recreational places, with the possibility of consulting doctors. One must strive to achieve tranquility through patience and prayer, and the remembrance of Allah, seeking forgiveness, and supplication.
