Is a husband who died in a car accident while filling it with water on the night of Friday, and who has a daughter no older than forty days, considered a martyr?

The death of your husband, with his daughter not exceeding forty days of age, is indeed saddening, but it is not a proof of him being a martyr. Reports have been narrated indicating that dying on Friday or its eve is a sign of a good ending. The Hadith states: "There is no Muslim who dies on Friday or the night of Friday except that Allah protects him from the trial of the grave." If this Hadith is authentic, then it contains a virtue for whoever dies on Friday or its eve, and it is a sign of their good ending. As for his death in a car accident, we hope that he is considered a martyr by it, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "The martyrs are seven, apart from being killed in the way of Allah: the one who dies of plague is a martyr, the one who drowns is a martyr, the one who dies of pleurisy is a martyr, the one who dies of an abdominal disease is a martyr, the one who dies by burning is a martyr, the one who dies under a collapsing building is a martyr, and the woman who dies during childbirth is a martyr." A group of scholars has gone to the opinion that whoever is struck by a car or whose car overturns and crashes on them, causing their death, is to be considered akin to a martyr who dies under a collapsing building.
