Is it permissible to leave an infant suffering from hydrocephalus and meningocele, and paralyzed in the lower limbs, without treatment, knowing that treatment will not remove the paralysis and lack of treatment may lead to his death?

Life is a gift from Allah and must be preserved; it is not permissible to abandon it as long as there is a possibility of saving it. A disease that has no cure today may be facilitated by Allah to have a cure tomorrow, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "For every disease there is a cure, and if the cure for the disease is found, it will be cured by the permission of Allah." And his saying: "Seek treatment, for Allah has not created a disease without creating a cure for it, except for one disease." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is it?" He said, "Old age." Therefore, one must hasten to treat the child and not abandon him to the illness, as long as the ability to treat him or alleviate his condition exists.
