What is the ruling on gathering in the mosque for Qiyam al-Layl in congregation during the nights of the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, similar to Tarawih prayers in Ramadan?

The mentioned act is an innovation (bid‘ah) that has no basis in Islamic law. Had it been good, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions would have preceded us in it. This is based on his, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever performs an action that is not in accordance with our matter will have it rejected," and "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours something that does not belong to it will have it rejected." The following are recommended: fasting the first ten days [of Dhul-Hijjah], remembering Allah during them, and increasing in righteous deeds.
