Will a father who reluctantly agreed to the presence of a television, satellite dish, and receiver in his daughter's home, knowing that they were purchased with his money and without his knowledge, be sinful, and what should he do to be forgiven?

There is no harm in acquiring a television and utilizing its beneficial programs, provided it is not used in ways that corrupt religion and morals. However, whoever leaves their children free to use it is sinful and deceitful towards those under their care, and will be questioned about it on the Day of Judgment. The daughter and her husband must be taught this ruling and be urged to use these devices in ways that please Allah and benefit religion and worldly life, and to disavow using them in ways that displease Allah. As for the wife, she erred by purchasing the devices with her husband's money without his knowledge and permission.
