Is saying, "My Lord, I have forgiven everyone who backbit about me, wronged me, or hurt me on this day" before sleep a sound practice, what is the wording that conveys this meaning, and what is the reward for it?

It is recommended to forgive those from whom one demands previous rights, whether before sleeping or in the morning, due to the generality of the Hadith: "Connect with whoever cuts you off, give to whoever deprives you, and forgive whoever wrongs you." This is further supported by the Hadith of Abu Damdam: "My honor is for whoever slanders me," which refers to past slander. However, renouncing and forgiving a future right is not permissible, as it would be an allowance for prohibited backbiting and reviling.
