Is it obligatory to forgo demanding one's rightful inheritance to appease the mother, despite the resultant estrangement from the mother and the daughters being accused of greed?

Allah the Almighty is the One who has undertaken the division of inheritances, and it is not permissible for anyone to withhold an heir's right. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger concerning His limits shall enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys Him shall enter Hell. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has given every rightful person their right."

Therefore, whoever has a share in the inheritance has the right to claim it and is not obliged to waive it at anyone's request, even if it is the mother. This does not contradict being dutiful to her. If the sister asking the question and her sisters waive their rights for their mother, they will have a great reward, even if it is not obligatory upon them.

The sisters are given the choice between waiving their rights to please their mother and maintain ties with their brothers, which is better, or holding on to their rights and trying to convince and appease their mother.

Moreover, the mother's wrongdoing does not justify severing ties with her; rather, one must be dutiful to her and treat her kindly, even if she commands idolatry. If you demand your right, let the demand be with kindness and an attempt to appease your mother.
