What is the ruling regarding my feeling of wetness after leaving the restroom, without being certain if it is urine, and my spending a long time in the bathroom waiting for scattered drops to exit, which has made prayer burdensome for me and caused me to neglect the Sunnahs, knowing that I suffer from a slight waswas (obsessive whispering)?
The cure for obsessive thoughts (waswas) is to ignore them and not pay attention to them. If you feel wetness and are absolutely certain that urine has exited, then purify yourself (perform if necessary, or simply wash the affected area) and perform ablution (wudu). If you sprinkle your clothes with water after relieving yourself and attribute the wetness to the effect of this water, it is good and dispels obsessive thoughts. If you are certain that drops come out after urinating, then wait patiently until their discharge stops, then cleanse yourself () and perform ablution (wudu) and pray. If their discharge is continuous, perform ablution after the prayer time begins and pray the obligatory (fard) and supererogatory (nawafil) prayers. All of this applies if certainty is achieved. However, with doubt, the original state is purity, so adhere to this original state.
