Does a divorce by innuendo mean every word uttered with the intention of divorce, and does it take effect or not?

Not every utterance made by the husband results in divorce. Foreign (unrelated to divorce) utterances—those that are neither explicit nor allusive to divorce—do not constitute a divorce, even if the husband intended divorce. This is the view of the majority of scholars. As for allusive expressions of divorce, which are phrases not explicit about divorce but capable of implying it (such as: "Go join your family"), these do not constitute a divorce unless there is an intention to divorce, by agreement of the jurists.
