Is it permissible for an unclean Christian to touch the Holy Qur’an to read verses from it that he believes protect people, and is the one who gave him the Qur’an sinful?

It is not permissible for a disbeliever to touch the Noble Qur'an or to be enabled to do so, because he is impure according to the text of the Qur'an: "Indeed, the polytheists are unclean." And if a Muslim in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) is not permitted to touch it, then a disbeliever is even more forbidden, due to the Almighty's saying: "None shall touch it except the purified." A Muslim sins by giving the Qur'an to a disbeliever, even if for the purpose of contemplation.
