How do I pay Zakat on land owned by several partners?

Zakat is obligatory on a partner in land if it is for trade. He must pay zakat on the value of his share at the end of the year if it reaches the nisab by itself or when combined with money or trade goods. However, if the land is not for trade (for example, if it is an inheritance or a gift and then he intends to trade with it), there is no zakat on it unless it is sold and a year has passed on its price while it is a nisab.
