How can one overcome the difficulties of performing prayers in front of people, purchasing items for the family, strengthening faith and happiness in Western countries, and improving academic performance which has been affected by changes in curriculum and language?
Prayer is the pillar of faith and must not be delayed. It is obligatory to maintain it under any circumstances, and it is permissible to combine two prayers when there is an urgent need. As for the needs of your family, seek reward for fulfilling them, and occupy yourself with the remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Quran while doing so. To strengthen your faith, seek righteous company from within the Muslim community, strive in supplication, listen frequently to beneficial lectures, follow useful websites, adhere to the remembrance of Allah, and perform abundant supererogatory acts of worship. As for your academic situation, strive to learn the language, exert effort, focus on your studies, and be an example of an excelling Muslim.
