Is there explicit and clear evidence in the Holy Qur’an for the eternality of Allah Almighty, and that He has no beginning?

The Eternal is that which has no beginning and was not preceded by non-existence; it is not created. The Holy Qur’an indicated this meaning by naming Allah Almighty "The First," before Whom there is nothing, and by His being the Creator of all things, the Lord and the God. Ibn Abbas also interpreted it by saying that Allah "has always been so."

The name "The First" denotes this meaning more completely than "The Ancient" or "The Eternal," which were not mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah as names for Allah.

To treat obsessive whispers regarding this matter, the Prophet recommended seeking refuge with Allah and ceasing [the thought], or saying, "I believe in Allah."
