What is your opinion on the method of Ruqyah that involves closing the eyes, extending the hands, contemplating the verses, placing black musk near the nose, in addition to diagnosing affliction by evil eye or magic based on body movement or the lowering of hands?

There is no evidence to prove the validity of this treatment. It is feared that this person may be among those who seek help from Jinn. Therefore, one should stay away from him and not request Ruqyah (definition) from him. One should suffice with the authentic شرعية (Shariah-compliant) Ruqyah or with Raqis (exorcists) who are known for the soundness of their belief and their adherence to the Sunnah (definition).
