What is the ruling on borrowing from the company I work for, with interest less than that of a bank, to buy a house for residence, knowing that I live in my father's house and wish to have my own independent dwelling?

Borrowing with interest is forbidden because it is usury (riba), whether the amount is small or large. It is not permissible to borrow with interest to buy a dwelling as long as a dwelling is available. The hardship of living with parents does not justify borrowing with usury due to the absence of a necessity recognized by Islamic law. The intention to repay a usurious loan does not change the reality of the forbidden transaction.
