Is it true that an abusive husband, whom his wife patiently endured, will be her companion in Paradise? And how can he rise to her rank when he was the cause of her misery in this world?

If a believer enters Paradise and his wife was righteous, she will be his wife therein. The one of a lower status will be raised to the higher status, by Allah's grace and benevolence, so that their eyes may be delighted. The proof for this is Allah's saying: (Gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter, and the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring). However, if the husband was ill-mannered in this world, the conditions in Paradise are different. It is a abode of honor, untainted by anything that could disturb it. Allah will remove all resentment and envy from the hearts of its inhabitants, and they will enter it purified from all impurities.
