Is a slight impurity pardoned?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that no amount of impurity is excused except for a small amount of blood and pus. However, the Hanafis hold the view that a small amount of all impurities is excused due to the difficulty in guarding against them. This opinion has been supported by Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Uthaymeen. The opinion that a small amount of impurity is excused is preferred because it aligns with the ease of the Sharia. Nevertheless, it is more prudent for a Muslim to purify themselves from all impurities to avoid disagreement and to seek safety, especially when performing prayer.
