What is the ruling on the imam leading the prayer while experiencing flatulence after performing ablution for each prayer upon the entry of its time?
If the emission of gases stops for a sufficient time to perform purification (ablution) and prayer, then the worshiper is not considered to have incontinence ( سلس), and it is permissible for him to lead the prayer (imamate) if he performs ablution after the cessation. However, if it does not stop, then he is considered to have incontinence, and his ablution for each prayer after its time has begun is valid, and what exits from him does not harm him. It is permissible for him to pray the obligatory (fard) prayer and as many supererogatory (nafl) prayers as he wishes with this ablution. As for a person with incontinence leading the prayer, it is permissible according to the preponderant opinion.
