Is the marriage contract between a suitor and his fiancée valid if the suitor was breastfed by the wife of the fiancée's paternal grandfather?

For the testimony of a single woman regarding suckling to be accepted, she must be someone whose religious commitment is satisfactory, based on the Almighty's saying: "from among those whom you approve as witnesses." The testimony of a witness is rejected if there is worldly enmity between him and the one against whom he testifies, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "The testimony of a betrayer, male or female, is not permissible, nor that of one who harbors resentment against his brother."

If the grandfather's wife is not trustworthy, does not pray, and has constant disputes with the family, this is an accusation that weakens confidence in her statement and rejects her testimony, especially if she did not clarify the nature of the suckling. Therefore, it does not appear that her testimony prohibits the completion of the aforementioned marriage. Nevertheless, it is advisable to investigate and be cautious in completing the marriage. If her truthfulness is predominantly believed, the marriage should be abandoned, and if there is hesitation, it is more cautious to leave it.
