How does a student of Islamic knowledge rid himself of embarrassment when seeking knowledge and certification?

It is permissible to obtain a certificate with the intention of beneficial work for creation, or seeking knowledge, or seeking the good of this world and the Hereafter together. There is no blame in that, because Allah encourages piety through worldly matters. Sincere intention does not draw one closer to creation, but rather to Allah. The religious benefits of worship are primary, while the worldly benefits are secondary.
