Is money earned from a job related to a religious specialization or otherwise considered "a worldly gain" that falls under the warning: "Whoever learns knowledge by which the face of Allah is sought, yet he learns it only to gain a worldly acquisition thereby, will not find the fragrance of Paradise"? And does rejoicing upon graduation and informing people about it fall under this warning?

One should completely disregard whisperings (waswas), cease to be preoccupied with them, stop indulging in them, refrain from asking about them, and supplicate to Allah to cure the questioner of them.

As for the issue of obtaining certificates in Sharia specializations, their impact on one's intention (niyyah), and their relation to sincerity (ikhlas), the esteemed scholar Ibn Uthaymeen clarified it in several points:

1. The certificate itself should not be the sole aim; rather, it should be a means to beneficial work, because many actions are based on certificates. In this case, the intention is sound. 2. A student of knowledge may not find what they seek except in these colleges, so they enter them with the intention of seeking knowledge, and the certificate they obtain does not affect them. 3. If a person intends both the good of this world and the Hereafter through their work, there is no fault in that. Allah says: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." [At-Talaq: 2-3]. One who intends this world by their action, has purified their worship for Allah and did not seek to show off to people, but their sincerity was diminished by seeking material gain, thus containing a kind of polytheism (shirk), and their status became lower than one who sought the Hereafter with pure intention.

There is no harm in a person working and being employed with those certificates. Mere joy at graduation, celebrating it, or informing people about it: all of this does not fall under the warning against seeking knowledge for other than Allah. Ibn Uthaymeen was asked about rejoicing at high grades and being upset by low grades, and whether this blemishes sincerity. He replied: "It appears that this does not blemish sincerity; it is natural for a person to be pleased with good things and displeased with bad things."
