Is it obligatory to make up the prayers that were performed sitting on a chair in their entirety due to ignorance of the possibility of performing some of the pillars, such as standing and bowing, while being unable to prostrate, and how should they be made up?

If someone inadvertently omits a condition (shart (definition)) or a pillar (rukn) of prayer due to ignorance, the majority of scholars hold that they must make up the prayer (qada’). However, Ibn Taymiyyah is of the view that making up the prayer is not obligatory. The preferred opinion is to make up the prayers, given that the period (of omission) is short, and to avoid scholarly disagreement.
