Anger does not prevent a divorce from occurring as long as the person is aware of what he is saying. If you pronounced the divorce three times while being aware of it, then your wife has become irrevocably divorced from you (baynunah kubra), and she is not lawful for you until she marries another husband and he divorces her or dies. However, if you were unconscious due to anger during the second and third pronouncements, then only the first pronouncement takes effect. Both spouses should avoid problems as much as possible, and not use divorce pronouncements as a means to solve them, and should know the rights and duties of each party. In case of recalcitrance (nushuz) from either party, the solution is not in insults and curses; rather, Islamic law provides ways to solve such problems.
