What is the advice of Islam and the position of Sharia regarding the monopolization of consumer goods to raise their prices and sell them later?

A hoarder is someone who buys goods when people are in need, stores them, and then sells them at a higher price, exploiting the high prices. This is forbidden in Islamic law. The prophetic hadiths indicate that hoarders are cursed and warned of severe punishment, and that their act is a grave sin. The ruler must prevent hoarding and compel the hoarder to sell the goods at their fair market price. However, there is no blame on someone who buys goods during times of abundance and sells them when their price rises, without waiting for hardship.
