How should one supplicate when reciting the Qur’an? Is it by intention, or by supplication before or after the recitation, in light of the hadith: "Recite the Qur’an and ask Allah by it before there comes a people who recite the Qur’an and ask people by it"?

The Hadith indicates that the purpose of reciting the Quran is to seek Allah's reward, not worldly gain. The objective is to read the Quran for contemplation and to seek recompense, not to attain prestige or wealth. This does not negate the permissibility of supplicating upon completing the Quran, or after reciting one's daily portion (wird), while adhering to the etiquette of supplication. Similarly, it is recommended to supplicate upon passing by verses of asking or seeking refuge.
