Is supplication after recitation mentioned in the Prophetic Sunnah?

There is no Marfu' Hadith from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, specifically concerning supplication after reciting the Quran. However, some scholars have mentioned that among the times when supplications are answered is "after reciting the Quran," especially upon completing it, and there are narrations to this effect from the Companions and the early generations (Salaf).
