Is it permissible to read a suitor's tweets on Twitter to learn about his personality and thoughts?

It is permissible for a woman to read her suitor's tweets on Twitter to learn about his personality, and she has the right to know about the one proposing to her so that she may be discerning, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did with Fatimah bint Qays. However, tweets are not sufficient for a complete understanding of the suitor's personality. As for speaking or chatting online, it is not permissible except out of necessity and without softening the speech, because the fiancée is a stranger to the suitor until the marriage contract is concluded.
