The answer

Depicting animate beings is Haram (forbidden) by consensus if it is a sculpture, and by the majority of scholars if it is a drawing on canvases, due to the generality of the Hadiths. However, drawing inanimate objects such as trees is permissible. Based on this, it is permissible to use drawings in designing gold, fashion, and abayas, unless it is known that this will be used for ostentation (tabarruj) and incitement of fitnah (strife/temptation), in which case it becomes forbidden to create it, as it would be aiding in sin.
