Is it obligatory to continue spending on adult, working children who boycott and hate their father?

Children must honor their parents and treat them kindly, even if the parent has mistreated them. Abandoning them constitutes disobedience (Uquq) and is a major sin. You should advise them and explain the danger of their conduct. You must maintain ties with them as much as possible and frequently pray for their guidance. You are not obligated to financially support them as long as they have a means of earning. Furthermore, inciting children to disobey their parents is dangerous, and the separation of parents does not nullify the right of either parent over their children.
