Is it permissible to fast supererogatory fasts, such as the Ayyam Al-Beed (the White Days) and the Day of Arafah, with the intention of making up for missed fasts, in the event of accumulated days of missed fasting?

One must make up for missed days of Ramadan (definition), based on the Almighty's saying: "But whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days." It is not a condition for the make-up to be immediate or continuous, unless the time becomes limited by the entry of Sha'ban. Whoever delays making up the days without a valid excuse until the next Ramadan has sinned and must make them up, in addition to feeding a poor person for each day. If one begins making up the days, it is obligatory to complete them. Whoever fasts supererogatory days with the sole intention of making up for missed days is hoped to receive the reward for those days. It is preferable for one who has missed days to make up not to combine other intentions with the intention of making up, as a precaution and to avoid disagreement.
