Authorship involves inventing something new, completing something incomplete, clarifying something obscure, summarizing a lengthy work without compromising meaning, compiling scattered information, organizing jumbled material, or correcting an error. There is no harm in this, especially with heritage books, provided the original author's name is mentioned.
