Is it permissible for a girl who has been divorced by a husband who had not consummated the marriage with her, and whose father refused to marry her to the one she loves for financial gain, to flee to Egypt and marry without her father's permission? And should she resort to the Egyptian judiciary or the judiciary of the country where she resides to complete the marriage?

If a suitable man proposes to a woman and she accepts him, her father does not have the right to prevent her from marrying him. If he prevents her, she is not permitted to travel alone; rather, she should strive to convince her father, and she may seek the help of wise individuals. If he persists in his refusal, she may refer the matter to the Shariah judge to either marry her off or order her guardian to marry her off.
