Will Paradise and its inhabitants perish, and Hellfire and what is in it, and the heavens and the earth, and the Throne at the first blowing of the Trumpet, then Allah will re-create them at the second blowing, based on His saying, the Almighty: "Every thing will perish save His Face"?

The exception mentioned in the verses about the blowing of the Trumpet includes the inhabitants of Paradise, such as the Houris (beautiful, pure maidens) and others. This is a point of contention among scholars regarding the identification of these exempted individuals.

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah stated that the exception applies to those in Paradise, including the Houris, because there is no death in Paradise. It also includes others, but it is not possible to definitively ascertain every individual whom Allah has excepted.

Ibn al-Qayyim said that Allah exempted some of those in the heavens and on earth from the stunning (swoon). It was said that they are the martyrs, or Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, and the Angel of Death. It was also said that they are those in Paradise, such as the Houris and others, and those in Hell from the people of torment and its guardians. Imam Ahmad explicitly stated that the Houris and the Wildan (youthful servants) do not die when the Trumpet is blown, citing Allah's saying: "They will not taste death therein except the first death."
